“Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us. We do this by keeping our eyes on Jesus, the champion who initiates and perfects our faith.” (Hebrews 12:1-3)

HAHA. God, you know me so well. 

I’m currently taking a leap of faith and writing my testimony for my first essay in my english class. 

Pastor Evan, 

You led me to God. God spoke through you to me and allowed the Holy Spirit to enter. I remember so clearly how I was so excited and restless to run to the front to be the first one to declare my commitment to becoming a child of God and believer of Christ’s salvation. I remember the hands of the 4 sisters who prayed for me on every side. I remember crying because I was so relieved. I remember how you rested your hand on my shoulder and prayed for me. You suffered much and it hasn’t been long since you passed away but the memory of seeing you that one day at the park, 5 years since you spoke the words that challenged me to change my life, is so clear. You remembered my face, and you greeted me with such a warm “Hi Sally”. I was nervous that you wouldn’t recognize me out of your 300 youth kids but when I approached you, I felt so good and comfortable. I wasn’t sad when I heard the news but now, I miss you and am ever so grateful that you were used as a tool from God. I am and continue to pursue being a woman of God. I owe you much and I’m so thankful. My life is different because you let me go to that one retreat, my life is different because you scrapped up the fees to let me go 2 days prior the retreat. Our mission on earth is to make disciples of all nations, to share the truth of Christ and to save those God loves so dearly. You obeyed and my life was saved C:
